Instead of filling every surface, designers are concentrating flowers into a few unforgettable moments — a lush floral canopy over the head table, a cascading stage backdrop or an overflowing entrance arch — and keeping the surrounding structures clean and architectural.

Soft, layered neutrals. Ivory, champagne, sand and blush continue to dominate, layered with textured fabrics and touches of gold. The effect is warm and timeless, and it photographs beautifully in both natural daylight and evening light.

Modern takes on tradition. Couples are celebrating heritage in fresh ways: a contemporary Poruwa with minimal lines, Nalangu setups in unexpected colour palettes, or traditional brass lamps paired with modern floral installations. Culture stays at the heart, presented with a designer's eye.

Lighting as décor. Warm uplighting, candle clusters, hanging installations and fairy-light ceilings transform a venue once the sun sets. Good lighting is often the single biggest difference between a nice room and a breathtaking one.

Locally grown and seasonal flowers. Working with blooms that are in season means fresher arrangements, richer colour and less waste. Tropical foliage, orchids and seasonal flowers bring a sense of place that imported stems simply cannot match.

Intimate lounge seating. Velvet sofas, low tables and loveseat vignettes give guests beautiful places to gather and give couples a stunning backdrop for portraits between ceremonies.
